Different purposes of writing

Countless times have you heard the advice: "You should write more". But write what? Writing is just an act, different "types" of writing have different purposes, different demanded and kind of attention, and different measurements of results.

I splits the act of writing into two different purposes, Write to attend and Write to understand and to transfer.
